The Sounds of Passion: New York, NY, United States; The Sounds of Passion is an international cover band that adds our own special flavor to popular songs of Reggae / Soca / Dancehall / R&B / Latin / Disco, both classic oldies to today's contemporary music. "Universal" best describes our musical palette. Our sound ranges from upbeat, melodic tunes that crosss both age & ethic boundaries - music that is also made for the dancehall, as well as songs for the lovers. Each of the key musicians prior to The Sounds of Passion have been involved in other bands, teen groups, and gospel groups. Some of the band members have performed at various events including: concerts, backup for other well known artists and bands, as well as; weddings, funerals, and memorials. Although S.O.P. has built a considerably large fan/support base throughout the greater New York area we have had the opportunity to perform abroad in several venues located in Costa Rica for Carnival & California for Memorial Weekend in 2008. We look forward to performing & spreading our brand of music to many other places. Be on the lookout for exclusive material in 2012-2013.
